There's nothing better at the end of a long day than grabbing a cozy blanket, snuggling up on the couch, and watching a little SportsCenter.

The Elephant Returns

The Rowe Family elephant made the rounds this year. Ellie received it pre-birth at one of her many baby showers, then she passed it along for her Great Great Grandma Rowe's 94th birthday. Ellie thought it was very cute with its red toenail polish....cute enough to eat, that is.

Exersaucer Attack

What a great toy!! Ellie loves her exersaucer that Granny & Papa got her for Christmas. When she first started playing in it, she was still a little wobbly, and only grabbed objects that her hand happened to randomly hit. But she's definitely getting the hang of it now. The challenge has now become trying to get each of the toys into her mouth.

Roll With Me

We're working hard to master rolling over. We have every indication that Ellie completely understands what to do, she's just messing with her mom and dad. In fact, we think she secretly rolls around in her crib during the night, but always makes sure to return to her starting position before we get her up in the morning.

Read me a story!

First Grandma reads a story to Ellie and her cousin, Kameron. Then Kameron reads the story to Grandma and his new baby sister, Paige. Paige is only a week old, and Ellie is very excited to have a cousin so close to her own age. We're sure that they'll be great friends growing up.

Sleepy Head

Doesn't she look so peaceful? We have to enjoy it while it lasts, because before we know it we'll be singing "Rubber Duckie" for the 20th time today.

I said "Sit Up" not "Spit Up"

Ellie is doing her best to learn to sit up. She's getting some strong ab muscles, but the balance part is still a struggle. It will only be a matter of time before she masters it, and can sit next to Daddy to watch baseball, football, and golf.

Santa's Coming...

I sure hope Santa likes my new, cute outfit. With only a few months of good behavior going for me, I need extra help to get presents.

Merry Christmas!!

How cute is Santa's little helper?!! Ellie is a bit too young to really understand anything about the holidays, but she's enjoying visiting with lots of family and friends. And I'm sure she'll enjoy playing with all the new toys she's been getting. We celebrated with the Marler side of the family the week before Christmas, since Uncle Andrew, Aunt Traci, and cousin Ian were in town visiting from Phoenix. We're looking forward to the Freed/Pohlman celebrations coming up.

You're Sooo Funny...

"What did you say, Mom? Daddy's silly? I couldn't agree more!"

Ellie is so quick with a smile these days, and has started laughing out loud. The only problem is, she'll get the hiccups almost everytime she gets too excited laughing. It's really quite adorable. It must be a baby Freed thing, because her 2-year-old cousin, Kameron, does the same thing.

Back Yard Hijinks

Recently, the entire Freed Family spent some time hanging out in the back yard. Whew... the fun never stops around here...

Happy Halloween!!! Ellie went trick-or-treating a little early this year, since Jason had class on the actual evening of Halloween. And by trick-or-treating, I mean showing off her black cat costume to all the grandparents. I'm sure she would have enjoyed it had she not been tired, hungry, and sweaty inside the costume.

Baby's Best Friend

Lucy is getting more used to Ellie each day. She likes to share her bones with Ellie, and is always at Kate's side, ready to help, if Ellie gets too fussy.

Ellie is a very happy baby and smiles all the time. We've been trying to catch one of those smiles on camera, and have only been mildly successful. Some of these pictures are mid-smile, or while she's turning her head, but they're all cute!

Redheads have all the fun!

At certain times, Ellie's hair looks very red (like in these pictures). Her Granny was very excited to possibly have a redheaded baby, but it seems that all the new hair coming in on Ellie's head is much darker.
