Here Kitty, Kitty, Kitty...

Happy Halloween!!! Ellie went trick-or-treating a little early this year, since Jason had class on the actual evening of Halloween. And by trick-or-treating, I mean showing off her black cat costume to all the grandparents. I'm sure she would have enjoyed it had she not been tired, hungry, and sweaty inside the costume.

Baby's Best Friend

Lucy is getting more used to Ellie each day. She likes to share her bones with Ellie, and is always at Kate's side, ready to help, if Ellie gets too fussy.

That's Quacktastic!

Be kind to your web footed friends...Ellie looked so cute in her duck outfit (thanks, Aunt Lala) that we had to take a picture.

Give Us a Smile!

Ellie is a very happy baby and smiles all the time. We've been trying to catch one of those smiles on camera, and have only been mildly successful. Some of these pictures are mid-smile, or while she's turning her head, but they're all cute!

The Many Faces of Ellie

Ellie has become very alert and loves to look all around, which can sometimes make picture taking a little challenging. Here are a couple of the resulting shots.

Redheads have all the fun!

At certain times, Ellie's hair looks very red (like in these pictures). Her Granny was very excited to possibly have a redheaded baby, but it seems that all the new hair coming in on Ellie's head is much darker.

Great Great Grandma

Ellie met her Great Great Grandma Rowe for the first time. It's very exciting to have five generations of women all together at the same time.

The Proud Cousins

Ellie was very excited to meet three of her second cousins...Emmaline, Elizabeth, and Mary Catherine. Elizabeth was even thoughtful enough to share the baby holding duties, saying to Emmaline, "You can hold her feet!"

Just a Swingin'

Swinging has become one of Ellie's favorite pasttimes...unless she gets the hiccups, that is.

Our Little Angel

Isn't she just the most beautiful baby?!

Rub-A-Dub-Dub...

Ellie has graduated from the sponge baths to the baby bath tub. She enjoyed this bath much more than the previous ones.

Overstimulation!

Ellie was wide awake when we laid her down on her new activity mat, but within seconds she was asleep.

Awwwww...

No important milestones here. This is just a darn cute picture.

Splish, Splash...

Ellie's first bath! She didn't care for most of it, but she loved getting her head scrubbed.

Make way! Lady with a baby!

Mommy and Ellie were discharged on September 2nd. We are anxious to get home and start our new life together.

The Gang's All Here

Ellie had lots of visitors in the hospital. Everyone had to come see the new arrival. She even got a special surprise with an appearance from her Uncle Andrew, all the way from Arizona! Ellie is looking forward to spending lots of time with all of her adoring fans.

Glow, Little Glow Worm...

In the nursery, Ellie was exposed to high levels of gamma radiation. She now has super strength and turns green when she's angry. Actually, she turns a little yellow, but that's from the jaundice, not because she's angry. She was slightly jaundice and had to stay in the Bili bed for most of the first couple days. Which was tough on Mom, Dad and all visitors because we couldn't hold her that often. She's doing much better now and is getting plenty of hold time.

Hangin' at the Hospital

Here's a picture taken of Ellie and her Daddy just 5 hours after she was born. That's not just a goofy face, Daddy really is that happy!

Wait for it...Wait for it... NOW!!

Our beautiful baby, Elise Katherine, is finally here! She held out a couple of days extra, but when she was ready, she was ready. Katie started having contractions at 9:30 PM and Ellie was born 7.5 hours later at 4:55 AM on 8/31. She was 7 lbs 15 oz and was 20 inches long. Mom and baby are doing great. It is worth noting that Jason did it all natural with no drugs.

Fit for a Princess

Here are a few pictures of the baby's room. Kate's mom made all the bedding and window treatments and did an amazing job! And yes, for those of you who didn't already know, we plan on calling the baby, Ellie.
