After a long day at the babysitter's, Will was a tired kiddo when I got home from work. So he ate, got into jammies and was asleep in his crib before 7pm. He awoke at 3am fussing, so I sleepily nursed him and then changed his very full diaper, which was about to burst. As I zipped up his jammies, he looked up at me through the darkness in the room, with a full tummy and a dry diaper, and started clapping.
As exhausted as we moms are when we have to wake up in the middle of the night to care for hungry, or wet, or sick, or crying babies, it's all worth it when your baby applauds you.
